The monthly card show yayyyyyyyy!!! Plus the usual stupid.......

HELLOOOO!!!

Let's start with the stupid!! On Monday I took my dad into the hospital, he went in for hip-replacement surgery. You hear all the stories about waiting for years but I guess he was lucky, he only waited seven months. Everything went well and he slept like a baby for 13 hours after we left him that night. Tuesday night, that was a whole other story..........he woke up sometime in the middle of the night and heard two of the nurses talking in Hebrew. He understands Hebrew ya see. Now they were just talking, but somehow he convinced himself that Mossad, the Israeli secret police, was there to take him out. So he called 911. Then he called me and instead of going to work I went to the hospital and convinced the nurses that he wasn't nuts he was just 87 and all medicated. Now I'm NOT poking fun at an old man, my dad is possibly going to live to 200 now that he's got bionic hip-parts and other than that little episode he's as sane as anyone! But you shoulda heard him..........

They were supposed to discharge him on Thursday but he needed a blood transfusion and didn't get out til Friday, so I had to leave work during the mid-month rush to pick him up and take him home, which.......beat working hahahaaa. I got him home and settled and bolted to my home to pick up Amy and we zoomed downtown to see the 51st anniversary concert of the one and only THE WHO!!!!


















It was pretty awesome :)









So that was my exhausting week. Today was the card show!! Nothing too crazy.........things that Derek from OT had set aside for me............

And then just before I left I saw it. A giant 5000-ct box of God-Only-Knows-What. That I could flip with free eBay listings because my free time is worthless. So I bought it with Mastercard/PayPal and now I'm very motivated to get onto TurboLister hahahaahaa!

It's crammed full of mostly 70's and 80's Topps hockey, there's older football and basketball and "other"....... I haven't gone through it with a fine-toothed comb yet because I promised myself I'd try selling the 1000+ Derek Jeter cards first........





Oy vey. At least I found an auto..........

Great stuff, Ed. You should have filmed your dad's responses in the hospital - it could have been viral like the girl who had dental surgery and her family pranked her that there was a zombie apocalypse.
