He does lopsided trades to go from base to a McDavid and gets an Upper Deck blog post and a round of applause from everybody.
I try to make a 2:1 base trade because the other party wanted a star player and only had average players in return and I get blocked and chewed out in the ePack chat forum for not being fair.
Nice.
Congrats to the guy for getting the McDavid! I can only imagine how long that took as 95% of the people on ePack I've run into always want more in their favor, how he found that many people willing to trade down so he could trade his way up is absolutely baffling based on the average ePack trader mentality.

Ain't that the truth? I've only had one really rude person to deal with on there. I sent a similar type thing to the above; guy responded "please stop wasting everybody's time with these sorts of offers" or something like that. It was a base trade of some sort. I actually blocked the guy for being such a jerk about the whole thing but not before responding that I was sorry for not realizing that his MVP digital base cards were worth their weight in gold.Habs fan and collector! I had a Ranger fan give me a bad rating on a trade offer when I asked for his Marcus Johansson for my Henrik Lundqvist!

The first few days that trading first appeared on there, I had a lot of fun making trades with many people who are also on this site, but after that it died down a lot. Never did finish the UD1 base set (not even foils, mind you -- just wanted one of each card) because so many people wanted gold for their copper. It was fun to see pictures of the actual game worn cards I got, but a plain white Jonathan Bernier and a solid navy Scotty Hartnell aren't the most inspiring images. :p
