    Signed Griffey baseball

A coworkers brother in law has a signed Griffey Jr baseball that I am thinking about buying. I've seen a ton of his autos and it looks to be the real deal. That being said, this auto is NOT certified. How much should I pay for it? He said he wants $50 for it, but I think that could be too big of a risk on my part. Obviously, if it's authentic, that's one hell of a deal. But if it's fake, it's a lot of money to lose on a worthless baseball... any help?

I'd take it with a contingency on it passing PSA. Even with authentication costs, it is still a deal. If it comes back real you got a great deal. If it comes back questionable, you are out less money and have the same result.
