Henry Heimlich, inventor of the anti-choking Heimlich maneuver dies aged 96

The creator of the lifesaving Heimlich maneuver has died at the age of 96.
Dr Henry Heimlich, who became famous in the 1970s for creating the technique to save choking victims, passed away at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati on Saturday.
Heimlich had suffered a massive heart attack on Monday and died from complications.

Sad news for sure, but a long life lived.
A little known fact I learned in my First Aid refresher. The maneuver is no longer referred to as the Heimlich Maneuver, but it is simply called to the Abdominal Thrust. Seems that some in his family had an issue with their name being used for it, and with some of the other unorthodox methods Heimlich came up with so they sued to get it removed from this procedure.Searching for: Jagr, Palffy, Stumpel, and Boyd
