Opininions Needed: Buying a new TV

    For those of you 'in-the-know'...

I'm looking at getting a new TV for the wife and I for Xmas....our current one is about done anyhow.

Now....I'm not very up to date on the market. So, any opinions, advice or ideas would be helpful.

    My criteria are simple:

    1) Flat panel/HD-TV

    2) a decent brand that will last (a few years atleast)

I've recently looked at a Sanyo 42" flat panel...but know little to nothing about that brand.

    Fire away if you please.

My wife just suscribed to Consumer Report. That is a pretty good spot. I have heard to stay from RCA.

Is there a URL for Consumer Report? I tried to find it today with no luck.

This is an area that I am very familiar with. What price range are you looking at? That will be a major factor in deciding what to go with. If you have any questions just send me a pm.
