Oh yeah, Parkerplenty- you may want to check out the show in East Windsor next Sunday. It may be a lot of the same vendors, but its even closer for you:

Thanks Tom! I didnt even know there would be a show in E. Windsor next week. I plan on being there. I went to the show in Manchester today. The vendors and fellow buyers were very friendly and helpful. There were some decent deals. I saw a few cards I really liked and got some ideas for sets to collect. Hopefully some of those cards will still be available in future shows. Thanks again for droppin that knowledge on me.

I finally went to this show back in the summer after having ignored it for 10+ years. I just always assumed that card shows sucked so I didn't bother going even though it was close by. But with all the card shops closed around me I had to get supplies so I finally stopped in and I wish I had gone to this show sooner. The supplies were cheaper than online and the cards are great as well.

I didn't go the past couple of shows but I swung by the one this December and even though they didn't have the normal large sign signifying that they have a card show happening the turnout was still large as always. The show always has a large amount of dealers and buyers every time I have visited. It costs $1 to attend as a buyer and different rates depending on the size of the table you rent. With the $1 admission you also get a raffle ticket and each hour they draw a number until somebody wins with the winner getting a $10 gift card to the show. Don't know what it looks like because I haven't won yet....

If you are interested in high end, low end, football, baseball, basketball, hockey, nascar, whatever they have it at the show. Most of the business done there is baseball, football, and nascar but they do have EVERYTHING. Almost every dealer has high end with 1 guy having nothing but, there are multiple people selling vintage all sorted out so you can fill your needs, they have common boxes for people to complete sets, and cheap discounted stuff. The only thing they lack is boxes and wax. There is only 1 big dealer that sells boxes and I don't know how they are priced since I don't care for boxes or packs.

Can't really comment on the prices of everything but the stuff I buy is cheaper than I would get it on eBay. Half the people at the show are dealers and the other half are people selling stuff so the people are usually cheaper than the dealers. They also look to dump their stuff at the end of shows and if buyers don't take it then the dealers buy stuff up. That's one thing that I can't bash the dealers at this show for because they do buy from other dealers and people coming in with cards and collections ALL THE TIME. So even if you don't want buy anything but instead move cards out of your collection for extra cash I would recommend going as well. The one obvious negative is if you are looking for Yankees, Mets, or Red Sox stuff you will be paying book or near it which is why I go there for trade bait and not for PC. But everything else is much cheaper.

The show is from 8 in the morning to 2pm if I recall and they even have a guy there selling hot dogs and food if you want to stay the whole time or get hungry. I usually leave by 1 because the non dealers usually leave and the place gets kinda empty. But if you do go any other time before that it is usually packed. Though you can get better deals at the end.

I can't really think of a reason for a sports card fan NOT to attend as I get great cards for the cost of a blister box at Target down at the show and it is one of the reasons why I stopped busting boxes. It breaks from the stereotypical show where everything is overpriced and they have junk for sale. I actually went to a show at Fox Woods that was just like this. I walked out in a few minutes but this one in Manchester I stay at for hours. Highly recommend the place to anybody who can make it. The show is always the second Sunday of the month so the next one will be January 11th.
