One of the leading autograph authenticators is PSA/DNA. They also tend to have one of the highest resale values once it is authenticated. They charge $20 to authenticate a Whitey Ford auto. The best way to check out the value of the bat is to check the completed auctions section of Ebay.

    The website is www.psadna.com.

    Thanks,
    Charlie

(I would love to see a picture of the bat.)
