    POLL: Greatest Rock Guitarist

Ok...the one you've all been waiting for. Claypool won the bassist runoff and Richard Wright won the keyboardist with two of the nine total votes...guess people don't care as much about the keyboard/piano. So here's our band to this point:

    Elivs Pressley - singer
    Neil Peart - drummer
    Les Claypool - bassist
    Richard Wright - keyboardist

Now for the foundation of any great band, the lead guitar. Since we have the King of Rock and Roll with members of Rush, Primus, and Pink Floyd, we'll stick to rock guitarists. I fully expect lots of debate and lots of people mad that their guy didn't make the list...too bad. Like I said in the other threads, if they don't even make the top 25 of a reputable list, they're probably not the best.

I won't argue this list but I think Jack White deserves more love.

Yngwie Malmsteen .... he probably won't win because I'm sure not many people have heard him shred ...... but the guy is an absolute BEAST on the guitar. He's got my vote!

That's a good call. I don't particularly like his music, but there's no denying the man has uberskills.

I also went with Yngwie. Dude is ridiculous on the guitar. The other two i almost voted for were Tony Iommi and Joe Santriani.

However had Michael Angelo Batio been on the list it'd have to go to him hands down.

Had to go with David Gilmour since Steve Hackett wasn't on the list, but we all know Overratedrix will win.
