This tutorial will show you how to place a banner or image in you signature. Written step-by-step direction are provided as well as screen shots. Click the thumbnail for an enlarged image.

Step 1:
Scroll to the top of any page on Sports Card Forum. Under the site banner you will see a two-tier toolbar. In the bottom left-hand corner you should see the the words 'User CP'. Click this link to be taken to you User Control Panel.

Step 2:
On the right side on the page that opens, there will be a list of links. Under 'Settings & Options', click 'Edit Signature'.

Step 3:
Scroll down slightly until you see the large text box and toolbar area titled 'Edit Signature'. On the toolbar at the top of this box, you should see an image icon. This icon is yellow and appears to have mountains and a moon in the foreground. It is circled on the screen shot below. Click this icon.

A pop-up window will appear. Erase all text that may already be entered into the text field of the pop-up window.
At this point you will need a link (URL) to you signature. This can be obtained one of two ways:

  • If the artist who made your banner provided you with a URL link to the image, copy (Ctrl + C).
  • If the artist who made your banner did not provide you with a link, it is best to upload the image to your Photobucket account (or similar image uploaded service). Right click on the image, select 'Save As', save the image, upload the image to Photobucket, and copy the URL (Direct Link).
Enter the link (Paste - Ctrl + V) to the banner in the clear text field on the pop-up window. Click 'OK'.

Step 4:
Your image should appear. Use the toolbar justification icons to center or move the banner if so desired. When complete, be sure to click 'Save Signature'.

Your banner should now appear in your signature. If you have any questions, contact the member who made your banner or feel free to send me a Private Message.

Don't Forget...
Per SCF Rules no banner may exceed:
