I hope that Mark Wahlberg doesn't win it because I think he's a great actor that just had a bad director and pathetic storyline to work with. He was incredibly good in Four Brothers and Shooter, haven't seen Invincible yet but heard he did good in that one too

I think that's part of it, but I just don't think he was good for the role. I like him too...he was good in Shooter, Four Brothers, Invincible, The Departed, We Own the Night, I Heart Huckabees...I've liked most of the stuff he's done. But like I said at the top, he's good as a quiet guy or a tough guy, but when he has to play a teacher and act concerned and intelligent, I don't think that fits his acting style well. It was sorta the same thing with the Italian Job, he was ok in it, but at times he was pretty bad.
