Press Pass Stealth once again is an amazing product. The chrome look accentuates the base cards wonderfully. The obligatory variation cards are there, forcing collectors to pay attention to the cards instead of glossing them over looking for the "hits".
This is another release where the Nationwide drivers get some attention in the base set. However, there are a couple of drivers who are featured with the Sprint Cup subset as well. Would prefer to see drivers only in one subset so that more drivers overall can be featured.
The limited number of inserts makes it enjoyable to open and collect. Really like the raised letters and picture on the Mach 09 inserts. The shiny gloss makes those cards really stand out. As for the holofoil and brushed metal cards, other than the numbering, not really sure what other differences there are between the two cards.
I know it started with Premium, but I am a huge fan of the race used cards stating the type of piece it contains and the cards being numbered to that type. It allows collectors to know how rare their card is over the entire production run. Just another way Press Pass is looking out for its consumers.
Overall, Stealth is a great product year in and year out. Some will say that the price point as compared to what you get is a bit steep. If you base it on "hits", then you are probably correct. However, the value of the box is not just contained in those couple of cards. It's what you get out of the entire box and for that, Stealth is standing in Victory Lane.
Once again, thanks to our wonderful sponsor, Press Pass, for giving us this opportunity to open and review this release. If interested in more information on this product or others, be sure to check them out at www.presspassinc.com.Last edited by Enigma; 06-02-2009 at 03:10 PM.
