Card Prep....and it works!
I posted this on another forum but decided to share since im new here. I heard about this technique so I had to try it. I used a eraser called a Hi-Poly Eraser found at walmart in packs of 3 for around 2 bucks. I rubbed the card on the left side, maybe 4-6 strokes and left the right side untouched. I then took a quick swipe of a Sharpie since someone never autographs slowly. The difference is amazing. It dont scuff or mar the card and I usually rub them pretty hard...
I hope this comes in handy because i prep every card this way now before getting it autographed!
Thanks
Josh

thanks for that- its pretty similar to baby powder- anything that removes the glossy covering on a card without damaging the picture will work- baby powder, an eraser, anything along those lines

I just rub them on my blue jeans and it works pretty well. HAHA. I'm a slacker, so I'll just grab the card while the guy is working his way down the line and rub them on the jeans.

Good suggestion. People had said to use erasers and I wondered which type they were talking about. I may have to steal... I mean, umm, borrow some of the Staedler Mars plastic type from work as I'm sure they would work the same.
