    eBay Problem; Principle Justifies Negative?

Alright, so I purchased a card a week or so ago with five dollar shipping. On top of this, the seller required mandatory insurance fee - 1.20, I believe. So we're talking about a 6.20 shipping fee for one card. I get the card and what do you know? The card is not insured. I contact the seller and demand my 1.20 back, at the very least. He/She's yet to respond.

Now, I don't care for the 1.20, but I am not pleased for giving out that much for one card. What I'm asking is if a negative is justified here? Or should I just go with a neutral?

I'd drop the negative - $5.00 is already ridiculous - $1.20 is strike 2 - no insurance at all is strike 3 - not replying is strike 4

How many do you get again? haha

    Negative is warranted IMHO.

Thank you for responding. Here's the listing by the way. My calculations were wrong:

    5.30 Shipping
    1.30 Insurance.

I believe if the seller doesn't respond by Friday, I'll be leaving a negative.

Hehe, everyone here has giving me alot to think about.

Joneser - Yes, when I won that auction, I agreed to everything the listing described and advertised. I had no problem paying five for that rare card, but it is implied in the listing that he would follow through with his/her listing's demands as well.

id agree with most of what has been said on here, and also give the seller a negative.

I would just ask for the refund and if you don't get it just never buy from that seller again. I know you're mad about the insurance thing but if it was the other way around you would be mad about getting a negative because of $1.30. Things happen, maybe he just forgot to insure it, but in any case you should ask for a refund on insurance.
