Considering you're assuming I would feel a certain way, then you must assume that I as a seller would definitely return the buyer's insurance money if I had forgotten? I don't think turning the tables will do anything here as I would have made sure I'd return every penny that was not used relative to extra fees I demanded in my listing.

did you get the card ok? obviously his shipping was fine if the card got to you undamaged... i know the shipping was high and the whole thing is ridiculous but fact of the matter is you should be happy with the card and the condition you received it in. Now, if the card was damaged in shipping and no insurance was purchased i think you would have a claim but i would just move on if i were you.

I hope I did not imply that I am holding it against the seller for the high shipping - I don't mind, I paid what I read in the description. I suppose you're right in that if I'm genuinely following the premise of being mindful of the ridiculous shipping, I can turn the other way on the lack of insurance. Hm?

I'd leave a negative...even if you got your money back...honestly your not happy and your not in the middle of being happy.

I don't know man. That seems a bit harsh to me. I can say that I would be quite happy if I just got my insurance money back. I really appreciate your input though, as everyone has given me a lot to think about.

I guess the point in my mind is ultimately are you happy with the product you recieved... in my opinion that is what the sellers responsibility is.

Personally a negative is too harsh in my personal opinion. You received the card undamaged which is the main point when deciding feedback. So he didn't put insurance on it despite making it required...you're only about a dollar in that case. So really what I guess the question for you is: is a negative warranted even though you're only out about a dollar and change?
At the most I'd leave a neutral and just point out the card arrived fine, but charged high shipping and insurance which he didn't use.

i have to give postive. you agreed to pay the shipping charge when you bid on the item. and he refunded your insurance money.

I'm with you....you agreed to the $5 shipping, even though it is high, so that can't be held against him (which you're not). So that doesn't come into play. But, you did pay the extra $1.30 for insurance and he didn't buy the insurance...so basically, he stole your $1.30. I know that's not much, but if he does that all the time, it could add up to $10, $50, $100, or more the guy is getting for nothing. Something needs to be said about that.
If he refunds the $1.30, leave a polite neutral (is neutral still an option?)...I wouldn't leave a neg, too harsh. Some people leave a positive but put their issues there...that's a waste, as soon as he racks up a few more feedbacks, no one will ever see that. If neutral isn't an option, I wouldn't leave any feedback...it doesn't really do anything, but it doesn't reward him for it either.
If he doesn't refund the $1.30, negative. You did not get what you paid for.
