ARTICLE: Deadshot’s Short Guide to Making a Trading/Personal Collection Page

ARTICLE: Deadshot’s Short Guide to Making a Trading/Personal Collection Page

    By Kyle (Deadshot)

In collecting, many users want to make pages to show what cards they have for trade and/or to show their personal collection. However, many are lost on where to start and how to do it. I hope to solve part of that problem by writing this article. Enjoy!

    How to get started:

First, it is best to find a service to host your site on. You can pay for one, but pretty much everyone uses a free service such as www.freewebs.com or www.geocities.com. Essentially, they work just as well (and you can save yourself some money in the process).

    What to include:

On your page, it is better to have the following features –
    1) Easy navigation
    2) Colors that are easy on the eyes
    3) Readable text
    4) A way to contact yourself
    5) Correct information about the cards (IE numbers, bv, brand, etc)

Other things that might be useful to a page –
    1) Scans of your cards
    2) Prices you seek for them
    3) Cards you want in return (if you trade)
    4) A little information about yourself

Here is an example of a good trading site (I recently used it to find a card):

If you have any questions, please post them – I’m sure someone here will be able to answer them for you!
