Went fishing and phone got submerged for about 3 seconds. I took it to the store and they basically told me im screwed, i have it in rice right now. Any tech advice, where can I take it to get repaired, any help appreciated, Thanks

You should have opened it all up, taken out the battery and got it in rice ASAP, of course the store won't help you. Leave it in overnight, try seeing if it works in the morning.

Did you end up getting it to work?

it's basically a 'are you feeling lucky' thing. my phone fell in the shower and went into water for about 2 seconds and i let it dry and it worked but the sound didnt. eventually the sound came back, but i wish you all the luck and hopefully u dont have to buy a new phone !

The worst thing someone can do when getting electronics wet is to turn it on. For the future, let it sit for a few days before turning it on. I learned that lesson the hard way when my old school MP3 player dropped in the ocean.

you should get a different charger like my bro did and it still charged, he dropped it in the toilet
