So I am doing a trade show in Daytona (I met a few people from on here.. shout out to those who said hi)....

Anyway, about mid day on Friday a guy comes up to me, tells me I have some nice items.. then asks me if I am buying. I said "sure, I'm always buying, show me what you have to offer"...

This guy is in a t-shirt and cargo shorts and doesn't have a box with him .. so I'm not expecting too much as he reached into his pocket. He tells me "I have this to offer, you might like it" and shows me a closed booklet.

Sitting in a snap tight and not even protected by sleeves, I still didn't expect much.. but as I would with any customer.. I asked what it was.....

He began to unfold the booklet on my display case, and my eyes IMMEDIATELY bulged out of my head. IT WAS THE 2011 SP LEGENDARY CUT MURDERER'S ROW 1/1... the Ruth / Gehrig / Koening / Lazzeri, etc etc.. the entire 8 man line up from the 1927 Yankee's.. and possibly the greatest cut auto Upper Deck ever produced!

I couldn't afford to buy it (I did try lol) but that has to be one of the coolest moments I have ever had at a show, and this was just a small show in Florida... wow just wow

I saw the 1/1 Red Sox booklet pulled in the shop I used to work at.. now I have seen this... incredible.

I took some pics of the book if anyone wants to see. Truly amazing and felt I should share the story.

Wow, just wow. That card is absolutely amazing, and just to see it live had to be awesome. Did he give a figure on what he wanted for it?

That is awesome! I am with Ryan, how much did he want or how much did you offer that he turned down?

I'd rather not say what was asked as he's probably still shopping it to high end dealers. Hope you guys understand
