there yah go i'll post what i think about the rankings after some of you post about your team or what team u think is getting way to high or low

02-10-2006, 10:41 PM
Well, first Idk how NO is #8. There not THAT good. There on a streak, but it will stop. I also dont know how my hometown bucks are 12. They are horrible. I actually had 1/2 season tickets, and have sold the rest to buds and to my dads buds because there so horribly disappointed. I think that Houston is ranked too high, they stink, plain and simple, with or without T-Mac. Also, how Detriot doesnt rank 1, is beyond me. They are a great team (I personally dislike them), but, they shouldnt be under the Mavs. Also, My Warriors should be alot higher than there position.

02-10-2006, 10:53 PM
the mavs have been playing great ball...they just killed the heat the other day....and are on a 13 game winning streak...yeah i agree with you the warriors should be higher alot higher...the rockets wow that surprises me the most why would they get such a high spot when they have a horable record...

02-11-2006, 12:55 AM
I agree that the Mavs are really hot!!

I don't think they could beat Detroit in a 7 game series though........

I think Detroit deserves the #1 spot and Dallas should move into #2

About San Antonio, I really don't like them but they are a great team!!

I just think this year the Pistons are better and I also think the Mavs can beat the Spurs

02-11-2006, 02:57 AM
I Actually think Houston should be around 15 or so Just because if when they are healthy they play good and they will get better as they play more games as a healthy team, they are now my new 2nd fav. team

02-11-2006, 02:16 PM
new orleans i don't get at all...i hope to see the bulls in the top ten soon...and once amare comes back the suns will mov up to #1

02-11-2006, 05:13 PM
I didn't realize how many .500 and below teams there are this year. I think Detroit should be #1 and I don't see how Miami is that high. New Jersey should be in the top 10.

02-11-2006, 05:22 PM
u know miami is by far my biggest disapoint ment for this year...they have such great potential on there team just shows u no matter how much talent u have its how u play as a team...what team i am glad to see doing well and making the right choices on how to be a better team has to be the BULLS and mainly the WARRIORS...both oragizations have done a great job with getting good guys in

02-11-2006, 05:35 PM

How could you say the Suns will be #1??
Stoudamire has an injury that most guys come back and aren't near as good....although I do think Stoud will be good but not as good as he was.
They can't beat the Pistons.....not even with Stuod

And about the Heat.... you would think that Dwayde and Shaq on the same team would be in the tops.....but that just goes to show that b-ball is a team sport (even if you score 81 points in a game).

Lakers - Odom has proved his importance....I think he is underrated.
Think about it.....the 2 games he was injured they lost both and he just plays such a big part on defense and also he is a solid double-double every night!

but I don't think the Lakers are good enough to beat Detroit, San Antonio, Dallas, or even the suns!

Kwame who??

02-11-2006, 09:09 PM
Okay let me fill you in Brett about his Knee surgery...here are two players that had the injury
Jason Kidd
Chris Webber
Jason Kidd is right now playing great after his injury...cause he rested and took the slow easy route compared to Chris Webber who took the fast way and Had his Game messed up emencely for a year or two now he's playing better but not as well as he could have...
amare is taking the slow path and is doing really well...he is now at the point were he can start doing some drills at practice with the team...he increased his shooting and jogging...they may not be #1 but they'lll be a good contender for it and a much better team...with out amare they have 7 guys all of which averaging 10+ points a night which is the best in the NBA.., with Amare the suns will be a force with a great five and a deep bench...

02-11-2006, 09:48 PM
Amare is also a hell of a lot younger than Kidd and Webber. He won't be back in full force this year but there is no reason to believe he will not return to form next year.

Detroit Pistons Are #1

02-12-2006, 12:09 PM
how can u say the pistons are #1 for this week when they went 3-5....the mavs had 13 straight then they lost to the nuggets....this week clearly went to the mavs...

02-12-2006, 12:17 PM

Pistons are 41-8 83.7%

maves are 39-11 78%

Hmmmmm. Im guessing the Pistons are the better team

02-12-2006, 02:32 PM
golfermatt91-I'm pretty sure stalkingwolf is talking about this last week, and the fact that the Mavs were the better team this past week IMO

02-12-2006, 03:12 PM
yeah no doubt the pistons are better but i am talking about last week...they've dominated last week and the pistons not so much that is why the mavs got #1 this week

02-12-2006, 03:44 PM
If you're strictly going by this week Detroit would be a lot lower than #2.

02-12-2006, 04:03 PM
Now that I think about it, you guys are right, the Power Rankings are not just based on one week, now i change my mind and Detroit should be #1

02-12-2006, 05:05 PM
u guys think the spurs will totally dominate after the all star? and try and get home court? i think dallas will keep getting better...Detroit there still going to destroy teams with there good defence...the suns i think will be a high 4 and the top four teams will stay right where they are...5-10 spot will be a dog fight...especially with all thoses 500teams wanting to get over the .500

02-12-2006, 05:14 PM
I think the Lakers are going to surge after the All-Star Break, they have the pieces to start winning, but they just need to put them in place which I think they will.

02-12-2006, 08:51 PM
if the lakers see that lamar odom is the x fractor to there team yes i agree they will do well after the break...Lamar Odom could use alittle chance in the game to do his own thing like Kobe does...

02-12-2006, 08:52 PM
You are so right, whenever I see that Lamar Odom gets an iso play, it usually results in something good

02-12-2006, 11:04 PM
they just need the unleash him and with Kobe they'd be good together...especially how teams are gonna start playing kobe on defence...if Kobe and Odom can both put up good numbers...it'll spread the defence and get open shots for the guys...

02-12-2006, 11:31 PM
If we're going by a week to week basis then the Spurs should be the new #1. Detroit and Dallas both lost. Spurs are on a road winning streak. Look it up.

02-13-2006, 11:38 AM
dallas won 13 straight i dont think a road streak means much

02-13-2006, 11:39 AM
when amare comes back power rankings won't mean a thing :new_llyin

02-13-2006, 04:07 PM
No Dallas just lost a game so their winning streak is snapped. Spurs have the longest winning streak in the NBA. Nobody is even close to them.
