I was wondering if the topps jay-z rookie card has any future value, since it's one of the first cards to incorporate non-basketball content? Is it worth trading for a regular rookie card or jersey card?

It doesn't have much value, since there so many out and its base

I think the jeans cards are a little ridiculous. I wouldnt mind getting a JAy-z autograph card though.

Well that is generally the cash value of a card, 1/2 of high BV...unless the card is hard to obtain or something in which case it goes closer to 100% of BV. If you like Jay-Z, keep it. If you could use the $10 to buy something else you llike better, sell it. pretty much that simple, no?

those cards will have no value once they have been out for a while... there are so many of them and so few collectors of the cards everyone that wants one will have one making no market value... even the autos will go way down after a short time for the same reasons

Probably true...

I know that IF i had pulled one in my two boxes of chrome I opened, I would have put it on the bay for sale. But instead I got actual players ;)

I agree with Tutall-the autographs will go down in value. I remember about 1.5-2 years ago(something around then) I saw a Lil' Bow Wow Inspirations autograph on ebay go for $15 dlvd (well-I rounded off). I remember because I was thinking about getting it but decided it was probably worthless. I used to want the Iverson/Bow Wow combo jersey which does sell well-around $15-20 on ebay. Yes, "Like Mike" used to be one of my favorite movies! :)
