I'd link them directly but I'm not sure if this board allows tagging with [img]

I guess I'm a little confused as far as what it's worth. I know I'm overpaying by a little bit. Should I get it for $5600?

Yeah I know I'm overpaying by about $400 or so. It just makes me very nervous when there is such a huge difference between what PSA and BGS say that card is worth (in mint condition).

Then I'm also thinking what else I could buy for $5600. Maybe the 1996 Topps Chrome Kobe Refractor in a BGS 9.5 or maybe another Jordan rookie. Then again, Kareem is one of my favorite players ever, and it's really rare to see his rookie card in such great shape.

Oh, lol. Now it makes sense. I was referring you to my other thread but I guess you missed the link. I want to buy the 1969 Lew Alcindor RC in a PSA 9 for $5600.

You can find a scan of the card in that link too. I'm basically deciding whether or not to go through with buying it.

Yeah even for me it is a good chunk of change. I know it will hold its value, though. I just wish someone could tell me how much it's really worth. PSA says $5200 and BGS says approx. $2200 in mint condition. That's a huge gap. For $5600 I imagine I could get some decent Lebron cards, or maybe even a Jordan rookie (Star).

i wouldnt spend over 3,000. buy jordan and lebron before kareem. or wilt chamberlin.

thanks for your input man. i'm having a tough time here. i think i'm gonna lay low. there's also a chamberlain rookie in PSA 9 i can get. or hold off and get a great lebron card for that much.

I say hold on the Jabbar. I think you could find a NICER PSA9 than that one. The left or right centering could be nicer...

If you are talking value I think that the graded Kobe auto rookies (scoreboard) are way undervalued...

I think I saw the psa9 chamberlain as well, and it looked great. Let us know what you get!!!
