Please keep him in our prayers, it is a NASTY fall and it has already been stated he will be out for season, maybe career. If you are about to eat, have a weak stomach, are eating now, or just have eaten you might not want to view the next two links.

Yeah thats sad to see no leg should do that...

02-27-2007, 07:29 PM
Oh yeah sorry for posting in Chit Chat.

02-27-2007, 08:09 PM
yeah, I saw this on ESPN today when I got home. Very sick and hope he gets healed up before next season and at least I hope he gets to play again.

I saw this as it happened..I told someone next to me, "Um, did you see how Livingston landed? That looked really weird, like his leg snapped off or something." When I saw the slow-mo replay, I really cringed.

Really awful to see something like that happen.

I cant believe the pain he must be in. I dislocated my knee and tore my lateral meniscus about 2 years ago and it still isnt right. He tore his ACL,MCL, PCL and his lateral menisucs. As wwell as disloacting his patella (knee cap) and his Tibia. I will be shocked to ever see him play another NBA game in hi life. I hope I am wrong and may God be with him.

Hopefully, he is able to do the best in his rehab, so he is back as soon as possible. This is a chance though, that he may NEVER play in the NBA again. That is a freak injury that is rare, and unfortunate. However, he is very skinny, so maybe he's prone to injuries like this.

yeah, 2nd time for him doing this in like a year. Just came out that he'll miss at least 8-12 months.

02-27-2007, 10:31 PM
Wow. That's going to be a long time. I remember when Amare was out for a year. He came back too early though. Let's hope Livingston comes back healthy, and not too early.

02-27-2007, 10:33 PM
yeah, definately...GL Shaun!!

02-27-2007, 11:04 PM
That's just awful. I heard he was out for the season but I had no idea what exactly happened to him. I'm no doctor but he will be out much longer than the projected 8-12 months. I hope he will return to the NBA but most likely not until the 08-09 season.

Livingston had an MRI exam Tuesday which revealed tears in the anterior cruciate ligament, posterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament and lateral meniscus.

02-27-2007, 11:06 PM
yeah, it may even be mid 08-09 season if he returns...just hope he does.

my dad (who is a doctor) said (just from my description, he hadn't seen the video) that it's likely a career ending injury, since while it's not crippling it's unlikely he'll have nba level explosiveness after that

he's no expert on that field in particular but just sying the possible ramifications..

dang man...that totally sucks to be him...luckally he went to college....
i saw the video on youtube....CRAZY fall...looks like it really hurt.....hope he can get better and come back....

03-01-2007, 05:42 AM
^ huh?

he skipped college to go to nba..

03-01-2007, 01:48 PM
He did skip college, was committed to Duke, and passed it up. Hopefully all will turn out well for him, not that I am a doctor or anything, but I would think 08-09 would be a good time to return if he can.

03-01-2007, 02:34 PM
Ouch. That is just a rough fall. This sucks for someone like him. Hopefully he can return, that's all we can hope. If he can't return to the NBA as a player, maybe as a coach of some sort...

03-01-2007, 02:38 PM
The first time i saw it, it literally made me sick. I tour 1 ligement in my knee can only imagine the pain of tearing 3....
