Game 1 taken by the Golden State Warriors! Does anyone else think this is amazing? Think they have a chance at the entire series?

I am amazed at how good they looked tonight!

It is amazing, but I think we're being spoiled by the hype that the 1st rd brings. But yeah, the Warriors can do it!!!!!!!!! I love the NBA playoffs I tell ya!

It was a great game, and Baron Davis was amazing! Hopefully, they can continue to own against the Mavs. :)

This will go seven games but Mavs will win it. Scrappy game tonight, but it should be a fun series.

I knew Golden State had a chance in the series. I would love to see Golden State put them out, so Cuban will shut up until next year (I hate the guy). I even predicted they would end their big winning streak in a contest on another forum and got a few free gu's out of the deal.

I am not surprised by this, and not because GS took the season series. The Warriors have great talent, and are very underrated. I like them a lot. Since my 2 favorite teams aren't in it, I'm rooting for Raptors and Warriors. I like the Suns too :D and Mavs, but GS will own!!!

Golden State is one of my new favorite teams too. I like their style offensively, which is similar to the Suns. :) They are a fun team to watch, but a scary team to play against in the playoffs!

I'm rooting for them like crazy...here in the bay area, the sports world is in chaos, as both the sharks and warriors are in the playoffs...it's hard to follow both, but it's so exciting!

Too bad the Mavs won last night :( mark my words, "WARRIORS WILL OWN!!!!!"

Stephen Jackson needs to take anger management classes. Warriors were still in that game before the ejection of Baron Davis.

and Jackson got fined $50,000 because of the way he acted....

Warriors hold serve by winning tomorrow and they are in great shape. Dallas would be down 3-1 and would have to win three in a row. I picked Dallas to win it all but I really (REALLY) want them to lose.

It helps take away a little of the sting I feel by the Heat getting swept.

Incredible. Warriors now up 3-1. I wonder which team will be the favorite in Game 5 at Dallas.

I must say I love the Warriors style of ball after watching these games. They create turnovers which lead to fast breaks consistently. The Mavs just look lost on the court.

It's still has to be Dallas. It's not impossible to come back from a 3-1 deficit. Phoenix did it last year. If Golden State at least keeps the game close in game 5 I think they would have a great shot in taking it in game 6 (I want them to win game 5 though, of course). Also, the Warriors fans go absolutely ballistic. It's really fun to watch.

With the way the Warriors have dominated thus far, I honestly think they will do it. They still have a game left at home, and they have already taken one on the road from Dallas. The game was closer tonight, but Dallas still looks confused down the stretch on both ends. If it weren't for a couple of Dirk bombs, the win could have gone double figures again.

Since Miami's gone, I'm really pulling for them and Phoenix because they both play an up tempo exciting style.

Me too. :)

The Mavs have now lost seven of their last eight playoff games. The West will really open if the Mavs get eliminated. If they do get eliminated, the Jazz, Rockets, or Warriors will be in the Western Conference Finals!

I WAS THERE!!!

There was so much energy it was unbelievable! Plays of the game included Baron's halfcourt shot and Pietrus's block of Jason Terry. The fans essentially won the game. I really think that the crowd caused a lot of turnovers on the Mavs and pumped up the players. It was really loud

I AM SO EXCITED! GO WARRIORS! WE BELIEVE!

So True...and to tie it at half time, they just seem to have the edge on the Mavs...... I'm loving the warriors energy.

I may be biased because im a Suns and Steve Nash fan. And I thought Dirk Nowitzki was going to edge Nash out of the MVP race, but barely. But since the playoffs have started, I think its obvious that Nash is the MVP. Dirk hasnt showed up, and his team (best team in NBA) is down 3-1 to the number 8 Warriors who BARELY made the playoffs. While the Nash is leading his team past the Lakers with ease (so far anyway). Plus that 17 point-23 assist game the yesterday was pretty amazing.

I think the MVP was actually Dirk's to lose, and he lost it.

lghoops92

i would agree, except that they dont take playoffs into account for the mvp race

nash is definitely the better all-around player though

game 5 coming up soon!

We gotta remember though that Baron is very injured. He played his heart out, but how much more does he have left in his health tank? He also mentioned that J-Rich, Barnes, and some other guys are playing hurt. They might have expended themselves in that Mavs series.

I believe Game 1 will be Monday. So they have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to rest/practice. They are banged up but should be okay by Game 1.
