Oden-Durant 'Micro Site'
Jun 13 - The Trail Blazers have announced that they are furthering the online Greg Oden-Kevin Durant debate with a special "micro" website dedicated to Portland's No. 1 selection in the 2007 draft.
The site, which will be unveiled on Wednesday, will provide content devoted to Portland's selection process. Both Oden and Durant will have their own individual players pages complete with stories, photos, video and links relating to each player. The Oden-Durant site will be accessed through the Trail Blazers main Web site. -- The Oregonian (http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindblazersbeat/2007/06/trail_blazers_unveil_odenduran.html)
other news ...
Of the 11 prospects the Blazers have hosted, more than half (six) have been point guards. And when you consider that four more are expected to arrive in Portland for workouts before the June 28 draft, it makes you wonder how intent Portland is on drafting another floor leader.
Coach Nate McMillan downplayed the notion as a "coincidence" on Tuesday and said scheduling has played a role in the early point guard deluge. Trade rumors and free agent possibilities have only clouded the Blazers' point guard situation. Jarrett Jack, last season's starter, has been linked to at least one trade rumor involving Atlanta (for the Hawks' No. 3 draft pick) and former Blazer Steve Blake, a free agent, has told The Oregonian he would like to return to Portland. -- The Oregonian (http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindblazersbeat/2007/06/workouts_point_guards_and_coin.html)
