I want to start a player pc of a player who is poised for a great career, but hasn't fully broken out yet and his cards are attainable for fairly cheap right now. I would collect Amare, but his cards are too expensive, so I need your help on someone that you think will be worth it. Here are my options:
Raymond Felton
Danny Granger
Al Jefferson
Leandro Barbosa
Luol Deng
Andre Iguodala
Josh Smith
Martell Webster
...and other guys you menion

Please lmk who you would collect, and please take into account current prices as well. Thanks you guys, this would help me out a LOT!:love0030:

Which autos do you have? And I don't use Ebay to buy, so I won't be snatching your wins:winking0071:

sportsballa- I doubt I can afford Iggy anyway at this point, but he sure as heck will be a superstar.

I think Barbosa would be a good investment

Jefferson, Barbosa, or Deng. There are a ton of Iggy collectors right now, but there are enough Jefferson, Barbosa, and Deng cards to go around.

Felton and Granger will never be more than average. Josh Smith has lots of collectors. Martell Webster might not even make average.
I am not really worried about the player collectors. But I am extremely bullish on Al Jefferson and believe he will be on Dwight/Amare/Bosh's level after this season. Martell Websters cards are dirt cheap right now, and Aldridge is another option that I just realized. Here is what I am thinking as of right now:
1) Al Jefferson
2) Raymond Felton
3) Barbosa
4) Aldridge
5) Josh Smith

Need some more opinions

Martell Webster. Here's why: Out of the players you listed, his cards are one of the few that have yet to rise in value (except for his Exquisite RC Patch /225). Some fans think what you do (as a player or team) in the preseason, doesn't really matter, but I disagree. Martell Webster had an excellent preseason, and should get a lot more mins. this year than last year. He scored 12, 13, 16, 17, 19, 19, and 28 points in his 7 preseason games. Unlike, the past two years he should start most of the games this season. Expect nothing less than a breakout year from Webster (IMO, lol). Portland has plenty of young talent with Roy, Aldridge, Oden, and Webster. They just need to "gel" together as a team, and then they should start to make some noise in the Western Conference. They might not make the playoffs this year, but they should be better than last season.

Thanks, I honestly think Webster is going to be the Monta Ellis of this year. I don't think he will win MIP(Aldridge will take it, maybe Al Jeff), but he will be a nice player.

Webster had a phenomenal first game last night, and I think he will continue to play up to his potential throughout the season.

Pick up his cards NOW! I thought of picking up a few nice RC Autos of Martell Webster before the season started, but I think I'm too late. Lol.

By the way, nice mailday! All those cards have potential to rise in value, if they haven't already. Congrats!

Jefferson will get the most PT out of the players listed, and Webster will eventually turn into a semistar, he will possibly break into the lineup fulltime this year, especially if the team is not going well after the AS break.

I am high on LaMarcus Aldridge though, he looks bigger this year and will be able to stay in the post a little more. Maybe Shelden Williams as well since he will play a ton this year as well.
