Kidd lead Dallas in a victory over the Hornets tonight. Kidd had 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists and the Mavs clinched the #7 seed in the West. They will play the Hornets in the first round.

He is #3 all-time on the triple-double list.

And yet we all can pick up his RC's on ebay for a buck or 2. People really don't give him the credit he deserves, he can rack up triple doubles on a crap team, and a star studded team.

I thought one of them was magic johnson, i was right... #1 is Oscar Robertson, #2 is Magic Johnson. here's a cool article on nba.com that i found while i looked it up.. it breaks everything down! what detail lol.

http://www.nba.com/features/kidd_tripledoubles.html

All-Time Triple-Doubles
1. Oscar Robertson 181
2. Magic Johnson 138
3. Jason Kidd 100
4. Wilt Chamberlain 78
5. Larry Bird 59

i don't think he could catch Oscar, but could maybe catch Magic, but it would be tough i think. he just turned 35 and he is coming to that age where he will have to retire soon. but he has proved that even his age hasn't slowed him down since he had 13 triple doubles this season, more than any other.

Congrats to Jason Kidd! If he can stay healthy for three or four more years, I think he can pass Magic Johnson.

He's been with the Mavs for two months but this was his first triple-double! I think he needs to play at least five more years and average about eight a season to pass Magic Johnson.

It took him long enough. He was a triple double machine at the end in NJ. And he came so close so many times.

If he was not traded he would pass Magic in 3 seasons likely, he won't catch Oscar though, he's not going to play another 5-6 seasons. Still a tremendous achievement for a great player, wish he improved his jumper earlier in his career though.

He has an outside shot to catch Magic...it will get tougher these next few years...he would have to pull a Barry Bonds to have any chance at catching the Big O
