View Full Version : Various successes with the Rays

New to the forum and just wanted to share my successes over the past year. All have been in person (sort of)

1st Sucess:

Tim Beckham. After he was signed by the Rays, he had a short stint in WV for the rookie league Princeton Rays. I live in Princeton and scored his autograph on a nice shiny new MLB ball the first day he played. Also non-chalantly said hi to him a couple times at the gym over the period of time he was there. That's right, I was pumping iron beside the $6 Million signing bonus guy :)

2nd Success was amongst several players.

My uncle has season tickets to the Tampa Rays. My parents went to visit and took in some ballgames. My mother had a pen in one hand and balls in the other and scored a sweet Carl Crawford autograph on one ball, BJ Upton on his own ball, Joe Maddon on his own ball, and several other Rays on a single ball including Maddon and Upton on that ball (no Crawford though.

I gave the Maddon ball to my uncle as a gift, traded the Upton ball to my friend who loves him and I still have the Crawford ball and the multiple signature ball.

3rd and most recent success:

Score one for my uncle in St. Pete with the season tix. I requested early in the year for anything Evan Longoria he could get his hands on. So far I've come up empty...until just the other day... Evan Longoria on a brand new MLB ball :). He still hasn't shipped it to me yet, but I'm stoked for it.

I'm new to the site, but I'll upload some pics of the balls soon. I hope to get the Evan ball ASAP!
