  3. The work has begun!

    Today, I spent a good portion of the day moving stuff out of the basement and into the Garage, other rooms of the house, or just straight into the trash.

    A couple of the highlights was getting rid of some old electrical wiring, in which I now have a line that I can run some additional lighting if need be.

  4. The current look at the basement

    In preparation to start on my summer project, I started to make some measurements tonight.

    The main part of the room will be essentially 2 sections, with a bathroom. Main area is going to be around 26ft by 14.5 ft. I might be adding in a half wall to create some separation and some storage space.

  5. The Preparation is underway

    Well, my wife and I recently made the decision to take our house off of the market. There were a number of factors that went into this decision, none of which I will share in this space.

    One of the fallouts from this will be the fact that I will be adding a "mancave" to the basement. I will have 4 areas in the remodelling of the basement, a closet area for Liv's Toys, a bar/poker room, a family area and a utility room.
