I just hate being in the middle of a collection, I think is was my real motivation for selling rather tha $$$ being the motive to start over and fresh instead of being back up in the work it takes to maintain a collection, start a new collection and maintain it right from the get go then maybe I will feel even more compelled to strive to complete the collection. I also hate that I am of a certain type of collector and that is being the anal completists type. I had to start all over on my inventory and it took me three days of messing with excell and word to get some of my previous inventory sorted out. I still have about 1500 cards to type up and it is getting very boring, plus the more I type and mess with the cards the more I end up buying off of SCF, ebay, shops ect. and in the end have to just add even more cards the what I am trying to sell. I try not to be greedy but would like to recoup some of my cost, hopefully I will get most of it done this weekend and then just suck it up and sell sell sell like really cheap. I decide to try and sell everything I have, card wise that is, and get out of the card buying business. I looked at the numbers of what I spent in the last year and it floored me.
What is frustrating me the most is the fact that so many types of cards come out and just as I am catching up on last years I now have to start the current year.
I picked popular players or teams to collect and found that I am to much of a compleatist to collect that way. I should have pick some player or item that was obsucre so that I would have to huntfor an item.
