Beginning in 2014 I started to push harder to get the set more complete with the hope of finishing it before April of 2015 which was the 50th Anniversary. I failed to complete the set I only got to barely managed to get about 100 more cards from what I originally started with. I'd have to check my other blogs for all those boring details. Anyway on my regular blog I have been tracking my progress on this project which I call The Strive For '65. As of 20 Aug 2016 I am at 254/598 (256/600) 42.8% complete.

I see the wantlists I have on this blog might be outdated, then again some of the things listed I haven't gotten anything for in ages so maybe they aren't too much out of date. If this blog over here is anything like the blogs over at TCC then most people don't bother even reading any of them anymore.

In 1968 Topps inserted these "stand ups" in with the regular football cards. The set has 22 cards total my count is 4/22.

I prefer unpunched cards in at least excellent condition, but to fill-in gaps in the set I'll accept better conditioned "punched out" ones. Basically once a month group members send each other a lot of 25 cards of a specific team. To keep things organized and to keep members from having to send a ton of packages out each month trade partners are assigned each month by the group coordinator. Right now that is me.

There are only 2 real requirements:
The first one is that a minimum of 25 base cards of the team a member collects be sent to them. The cards can be base, inserts, limited #d cards, GUs, Autos, printing plates, whatever.

The second requirement is that trades assigned for the month MUST BE COMPLETED (or at the very least already in process) BY THE END OF THE MONTH. If a member fails to send to their trade partners in a month they will be given a second chance the following month to send to that trade partner. If they fail to do that they will be dropped from the group.

Concerning duplicates. Duplicates DO NOT count toward the 25 card minimum. If you send someone 25 cards of Joe Average's 1999 Topps Chrome card #45 then you need to send 24 more cards that are not that 1999 Topps Chrome #45.

Trade partner assignments are usually sent out near the end of the previous month (ex. February trade assignments are sent out in late January, and so on.)

The MSF rule for SCF members applies. If a member has the Must Send First restriction then they must do so for this group as well.

Only one person is assigned to a team. Members if they wish may switch to a different team, provided that team is not already taken. The switch will be effective on the next month.
