On September 5 2009, I mailed a letter to Alex Burrows. Burrows had gone through a lot last season, when he lost his good friend Luc Bourdon. His whole season was dedicated to him. He scored 28 goals last season (Luc Bourdons number was 28), and by scoring a short handed goal againest the Hurricanes with only a couple minutes left, stopped their losing streak. A few months later, they won the divsion (I think) on Bourdons birthday. Anyways, I sent 2 index cards to Burrows. He signed 1 index card, which was fine for me. I was pretty excited by this success.
TTM recieved on December 17 2009
When I opened up the mailbox on December 9 2009, I knew that I hadn't recieved anything...but when I looked closer, I saw that I had recieved a TTM. I thought it had been david Moss of the Calgary Flames, but knew that it couldn't be because I had mailed out that letter only 1-2 weeks ago. When I opened it up, I got a big surprise. I had gotten 4 autographed post cards from Don Cherry. I had sent it out in the beginning of December and didn't expect it back that fast because I believe that he had gotten in trouble for saying something, about a week after I had mailed the letter and with all of the pressure on him, I didn't expect anything to come back from him anytime soon. He personalized the post cards for me. If you want to see a few photos of his post cards, just go to the TTM database and search up Don Cherry. Actually, speaking of the database, this was my first time I had gotten an address from the database. Since it proved useful, I think I will use the database more often. I have already figured out a few players that I will mai to...thanks to the database. I am hoping that a few more players from the Canucks will send me back a few autographs. I mailed a bunch out in early September, to mostly the whole Canucks team(except the stars like Luongo, and the Sedin twins. I also never sent any out to Raymond or Kesler because I have already met them)
