This update comes a little late due to my recent work schedule. Between that & Christmas I really didn't have much to spend for the final month of 2012, but I was able to pick up a few items.

Well, November is over, all the awards have been passed out & the Winter meetings have begun. Congrats to everyone, especially Miguel Cabrera for his astounding year, capturing both the Triple Crown & AL MVP awards!

Fall ball is over for Vanderbilt, so it appears that I'll have little to no news on Michael until their season starts up in February. Is it February yet???

Well, it's October & Carl is no longer the last man to win the Triple Crown. I wonder if Topps knew something that the rest of us didn't? Their Heritage release earlier this year put Yastrzemski & Cabrera together on a card in their Then & Now insert set. Now if only they had the look of the '67 set instead of the '63 Topps issue, the card would have made for one of the greatest premonitions of all time! Unfortunately for Cabrera, his team suffered the same fate as Yastrzemski's ...

Well, my birthday month was pretty good if I do say so myself, and even though I didn't get as many new Yastrzemski cards as the number of years I've been alive, I was still rather happy with the results.
