It wasn't so long ago that I tagged Lane Kiffin with the nickname, "Wisteria Lane", after the street made famous by the TV series, "Desperate Housewives". Tonight, Kiffin is trying to figure out 1) his next move and 2) what went wrong at USC.

The NY-Penn League season is almost over. For the 3rd time in 4 years, the Tri-City Valleycats, affiliated with the Houston Astros, have reached the league championship series, after sweeping away Aberdeen, 2-0. According to an article on the team's website today, the LCS won't start until Tuesday vs. either top-seeded State College, the Pinckney division champ, or runner-up Jamestown.

On Monday, the New York Mets lost 2nd year ace Matt Harvey to an elbow injury, the 3rd starter to suffer the same injury in the last month. First, it was Jeremy Hefner, who won't be back until 2015 after Tommy John surgery. Then, it was Jenrry Mejia, who was coming back from TJ surgery, and will likely be back in time for spring training in 2014. On Monday, his teammate, Francisco Cervelli, was, along with Rodriguez, suspended for using performance enhancing drugs (PED's). Cervelli, on the disabled list since late April, accepted his penalty without fuss or drama.
