Flood and water

Flood and water everywhere is not how you like to see your store. May 17th sees my store getting 120 gallons of water dumped in it. When I opened the door and heard my wife scream as she entered I was overwhelmed. First I thought the place was on fire so as I rushed in I was absolutely stunned to see water coming down from above like a waterfall.
Ever had that sick feeling in the pit of your stomach ? Well that describes the feeling and the emotions I had as I watched water coming down from above and then saw cards floating in 4 inches of water. About 50,000 cards destroyed and about $60k in damages.
A bunch of 1944 Group II Beehives destroyed including my prized Terry Sawchuk and Maurice Richard. A few very nice and limited jersey and memorabilia cards. A complete set with extras of 1970 O-Pee-Chee CFL football, most of my Toronto Blue Jays stock along with most of my 09-10 and 10-11 hockey singles. It took me until June 4th to get the store reopened and somewhat organized. Two things scare a card store owner....fire and water.
I would like to thank all of my die hard collectors who have stuck with me through this very difficult time for me. Your patience, support and kind words have meant the world to me. I can honestly say that this was one of the most difficult things that I have had to deal with in recent years.
