My NHL 12 GM Career - Day 0; The Setup

Rate this Entry
So as a preamble, I'll just let everyone know that the main point of me doing this stuff, and documenting it is just to stay sharp on my writing skills as well as explore outlets of creativity and have those spider-web in to who knows how many creative ideas.

Not to mention it may be an interesting read for people every now and then while just killing some time, or it may be a nice alternative to spam refreshing the same forum over and over.

So what am I doing here? Well, I'm sure NHL 12 is a familiar title in these parts. This is the (for now) brief documentation of my "career" as a GM in NHL 12 for Xbox 360.

What will I be doing? Documenting! But no, really what I'm aiming to do is give a summary or boxscore-like report on the games of my GM career. Strictly GM! I'm calling the shots but not making them! I'm unsure of the frequency as of yet, but that along with the detail I put into each posting will most likely be dictated by how much I know people are actually reading and enjoying! The plan is to have them complete with screenshots and hopefully embedded YouTube clips, just for that over-the-top touch :)

The settings, to spare everyone the slider details, I am on Superstar game difficulty, Hard GM difficulty starting at NHL Entry draft day and doing a fantasy draft. At the draft screen I will be randomizing the order 30 times.

I won't be posting the entire simulated draft, but I will do the entire first round, as well as covering my own picks of course.

After the draft, I'll go over every team's first line/defense pair/goalie, as well as show what my own lines will be, once I've figured them out.

All that being said, I believe I am ready to get myself started here. I will be opening with my own created team, the Seattle Jackals (replacing Minnesota Wild), let's hope I don't get fired!

If I ever miss explaining something I am quite open to comments, questions, PMs!

On with the opening draft.
