Cardshow Reviews and Hockey Thoughts.

Lexington, Kentucky sports cards show September 26th 2020.

Rating: 2 votes, 4.50 average.
The old location was the Armory and that show had been going on since the 80's. As it made it probably the longest running sport cards show in the same location that I have ever known about. Recently, the show promoter changed the venue to the Clarion hotel on Newton Pike. The reviews were in favor of this location so it looks like it might be happening there in the future. So with all the Covid-19 stuff still lingering it nice to see the shows circuit getting back into business even though there is a limit on the number of folks inside. For those of you from Kentucky you will not find a better selection of Kentucky cards as almost all the vendors will be carrying the local favorites with U.K. Players (basketball predominately being featured), with a mix of local teams from Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes rounding out the the top 3. The best thing about the show is the price cannot be beat as I think it $25 to set up. Which makes it very attractive to even the small guys or gals in the hobby as just a collector to move some cards compared to the pay sites out there. So if you ever in the area feel free to contact the show promoter at the information below. '

Here is a quick scan of the show venue in two shots.

As you can see quite a crown with most of the folks gathers on the one side of the show as the other side did not set up until later. Some sweet deals to be had as always. Here is a few of the things I picked up in now particular order with the Graham being the highest dollar purchase at $15 with the other cards from mostly in the .25 and .10 cent boxes.
Definitely think the Otto graham is the first star followed by the Paul Hornung being the 2nd star.
