Bumping this old thread because what a difference almost three years can make in this nutty hobby! This is sooooo fun to look back on now.

Anyway, I DID put together this complete Prizm set, Giannis RC included, and it's worth impressive money now! The Giannis only booked about $20 when I broke this box. It alone is now worth up to $150. I'm sure the rest of the set, including Oladipo, McCollum etc. rookies, probably books at least $200, maybe higher.

This was actually one of the best box breaks I ever had.

When Giannis exploded I found a Prizm rookie and Prizm Red Prizm rookie in my inserts box. They weren't even valuable enough to put into a top loader when I got them.

I'm sure I also have a thread from way back when I put together the 2011 Topps Update baseball set. I think I tossed all my commons doubles out that year, who knows how many $500 Trout rookies I might have tossed. I'm also pretty sure I threw all my Topps Gold parallels up on Ebay and sold them as a lot, sometimes I wonder if it had a Trout in it. I checked my trade history here and never traded any Trout cards thankfully.

Topps Chrome refractors have really gone up too. I just found a 2007-08 Topps Chrome Kobe Bryant refractor in my inserts box yesterday. It's been sitting in there for over 10 years. Never used to be worth more than a couple dollars, now it goes for $80 on Ebay.

@Boinks it's crazy, isn't it? The refractor and prizm stuff is just insane right now. It's always fun to look back at when you were able to save some of this stuff, but we all have our instances too where we traded, sold, or practically gave this stuff away before it got hot. I'm sure we all have our stories. I also found the thread here where I pulled a Towns silver prizm rookie refractor, and it was just starting to heat up then -- but I didn't buy into the hype, and ended up trading it for a much more modest 96-97 Credentials of Hakeem Olajuwon. The Hakeem steadily books around $40, but the Towns is about a $250 card now, and it was already starting to go around $100 when I pulled it in late 2016.
