1981 Topps template (PSD file included) Possibly WIP

    Hello all,
I've been looking and searching the forums for awhile now, so I decided to join earlier this week. I joined in hopes of finding other with baseball, basketball or football templates (original re-edits or custom). I tried my hand at an original re-edit. So, here it my attempt at the 1981 Topps template.

A co-worker asked me to make a '81 Topps version for his son. Here is the final edition.

As always, if you have any suggestions, let me know. Font resources or anything is helpful. And if you have any templates that you would share, please let me know.

Here are the PSD templates, compressed, with front and back, into a zip file.

I like the final product a lot. I think you did a great job replicating the front. I can't imagine retracing the hat was easy. The only thing I would mention for the front is bringing the had down a couple pixels so that the brim aligns with the bottom border and made the white border on the top of the hat a little more even with the rest of the white border thickness. I love the slightly distressed look of the blue sections and the picture. It gives it a nice early 80s vintage vibe.

The back remarkably well done. I don't think any "liberties" taken with the color choice vs the red/pink on cardboard from the actual set is off-putting. It's kinda funny but I like the fact that the back is off-centered, I don't know if you were aiming for that but it lends itself a nice bit of replicated authenticty. Hopefully Cooper won't mind signing a copy for you :)
