    Continuing to hate on Artifacts

I know there's a TON of people that LOVE this product.
    I just don't understand it.
Zeeree11's box break says it all.
For more than $100 you get:
    4 crap base parallels.
1 Rookie Redemption that when redeemed gets you an RC #'d to 899. (Crosby's Artifacts RC can be had for $300)
An AutoFacts signature of a non star player.
    And a $2 jersey card.

Where is the value in this? Some astronomical hit that falls one in 50 cases?

    I'll never understand it,

You only get 1 GU card in a box of that stuff now? Jeeze.

I assume that people love it, because it's the first mid-end product of the year.

I think there are 2 ways to look at artifacts

    1) buying a box
    ---------------- garbage fire

    2) buying singles on eBay and/or trading
---------------- Great! Where else can you get a $15 Gretzky jersey?!

Artifacts has always had some great gems hidden within it. While the rookies aren’t the most sought after, they can still attract some attention and interest. Subsets such as Honoured Members/Hopefuls have added great value to the product in recent years.

It’s not for everybody, and there are some tough breaks out there for sure. But if you do hit one of those long shot big cards it’s well worth it.
