    quick question about a hockey "coin"

    never came across one of these before.
    any idea what they are.
    i know look like they are a novelty item.

    There was a set of them in... I think... 1996. Maybe 97? They were sold like cards..... in packs. I've got a set hiding in a box somewhere

    You guys are referencing the 96-97 and 97-98 Pinnacle Mint set, however, that isn't from those sets.


    Here is an example of 96-97 coins: Lemieux 96-97 coint

    and 97-98: Hasek coin

    Neither are my auction.


    That being said, I'm not sure where your coin comes from. Sorry!

    Where did anyone above say they were form Pinnacle Mint? If you check out the link above it correctly shows the coins as being from the 1996-97 Hockey Greats set.
    The want list at this link features what I need of Gretzky, Roy, Ottawa Senators, and Miscellaneous sets. I also have a CFL want list on my page and if you have nothing from it I will consider other traders of current Ottawa Senators,Guy Lafleur, + trade bait.
