2000 Topps commemorative Hank Aaron reprint #3 Error - Blank front

A friend of mine asked me for some help selling some cards he recently acquired, and I found this in a binder that I was flipping through. I couldn't find any other like it on the web, has anyone heard of this error?

Wow you don't see many of these. Especially with cards as late as 2000. The only thing though is they have a limited market since not many people want blank fronts even though they are very very rare in modern cards.

Indeed! It's the first one I've seen with a foil on the blank side, definitely rare. Would the whole sheet have come out blank during printing? I can't imagine something like that getting past any kind of QC at the press, could it have been an intentional variation error?

It wasn't intentional. They probably had a sheet get messed up and had to go through and remove them. Quality control wasn't good enough and at least one slipped through.
