    Hank Aaron vs Mark Teixeira

Who had more pure power? Lets say they competed in an home run derby, Hank Aaron *circa 1971* vs Mark Teixeira *circa 2005* Who wins? Who has a higher average distance?

I voted for Tex just because he's super-funny and a great guy.

I don't really like Hank Aaron because he poo-poo'ed all the guys from the steroid era, but everyone in his era popped greenies and yellow-jackets.
How are those not P.E.D.'s, too? I know they do different things, but the motivation behind taking them and the dangers they pose are parallel. Seems kinda hypocritical to me.

Why compare players "without" steroids to those "with" steroids? I don't really know, without steroids, which one would have more "power". However, if I was putting a team together, and if I had to choose between the two, I'd pick Hank Aaron.

It has to be Hammerin Hank, the home run king.

I collect Nolan Ryan cards I do not have. I might trade for Ted Williams or Johnny Bench. Advise me if you are out of country before making a trade.

Hank may have had "greenies", but Tex didnt have death threats to himself and his family. Its gotta be Hank just for the fact that he was forced to deal with other issues besides baseball. How sad that just because he's black, some people hate him. Of all the players that I've had the privilege to get autographs from (including other hall of famers) he is the only one I was a "fan boy" of. I couldn't even say hi. All I could say was "thank you".
