We are just two weeks away from the release of 2019 Topps Series 1, which will signify the start of a new baseball season for many fans and collectors. In this set, Topps will celebrate the 150th anniversary of baseball with a scattering of themed inserts and parallels throughout the release. The first series of the flagship set will hit shelves January 30 with Series 2 and Update to follow later this season.
One of the most anticipated aspects of the Topps flagship set is discovering which player(s) will adorn beloved card #1. It’s always a hot topic once announced and is somewhat of an honor bestowed by Topps upon the player chosen. We all know Topps flagship is the most-collected set every year for baseball, hands down. But, some collectors only collect the #1 cards from the sets and others step it up a notch by putting together an all-graded #1 card collection. No matter what you collect, this is THE set to complete every season!
With the vast array of players chosen as card #1 throughout the years, we thought it would be fun to let you rank them from your most favorite to least favorite. All you have to do is click here to complete the survey, pick your favorites, and share the survey with others. This is the perfect primer for the upcoming release! Enjoy!

Below is the list of every person that has appeared on card #1 from the flagship Topps set since its inception in 1951. The number following the person’s name is how many times that player has appeared on card #1.
