Davis' dad went on record saying that he'd hate it if Anthony went to Boston because of how they handled the situation with IT. He clarified that he doesn't necessarily speak for his son's wishes, but it doesn't help Boston's case any.

I read somewhere on this site recently about why T.V. ratings in the NBA are down. They were wondering why. Somehow, someway, somewhere this is part of the problem. The fact that what Anthony Davis' dad says is part of the answer. I know it's a stretch but my instincts say it's loosely connected way down the line. ESPN: "Just in!.....Anthony's dad speaks right after commercial!".
Second is that IT being mishandled in Boston is a problem. IT is (or was for a short period) an average All-Star. He had a nice little run in Boston but what he did here doesn't warrant "Backing up a Brinx Truck". Boston called his bluff and he got lost in the reality of his shortcomings. No pun intended.
If Anthony doesn't want Boston because IT got mishandled then let L.A. have him.

The Lakers are willing to surrender Ball, Kuzma, Ingram, Rondo, Beasley, Lance Stephenson, and two first-round picks for Davis and Hill, reports Brad Turner of The Los Angeles Times (Twitter link).

Now I can understand age of Lebron May be motive.
But, I can’t stand when a player makes demands on where he wants to play. What good is the draft ? If a player will be the player he should be only if they are where they want to be. Fulfill contracts

This is a different NBA which has deterred some older fans. Instead of rivalries like yesteryear, these guys are buddy buddy and want to team up together. It's a little bit of a joke with the formation of these fantasy-like super teams. I'm on the fence, I think it's only fair to give it some more time. The game is in transition right now, with the 3 ball, position-less offenses, and the continued increase in foreign pro talent. The NBA is big business, and like it or not but these players create revenue, or else they wouldn't be given these contracts.

Now it is the players who determine the team. Sometimes the buddy system doesn’t work, and the basic player loses, while the star gets payed no matter what.
