Any idea why SGC would print card as being 98-99 when I got it from a 2000-2001 box ? Truly did think a card that's been in a hard case since day one would get a better grade than a 8.5. Going forward is it smart to have SGC grade the auto on the card as well?

    Thanks

I think the card is 98-99 sp, bought back in order for jordan to sign and re insert into 2001 packs.
Nice card, always weary of a grading co has to say. A card like that , I would look for the most reputable company.

SGC is a close drive for me so that greatly influenced my decision. Considering they are a top 3 grader in the industry I felt easier knowing I can physically drop off and pick up in under a week. Nice and friendly guys. I took a Tom Landry mini helmet auto and a Marino hat I physically had signed. Went 0/2 on the autos

Great Jordan Card. Thanks for sharing your auto. Great to have company close by.

Can’t price the card for you. I tend to look at items and what they mean to me. If needed to sell I would likely take 3 k but then I have no kids who perhaps would appreciate the card and auto

That does seem low but I would figure collectors who aren't knowledgeable are being scared away because it is a SGC card. They are the clear 3rd behind PSA and BGS and while they are totally legit (these new print labels look ghetto) they still command way less money than being in a PSA or BGS holder. So if you want to maximize what you will get offered you are going to have to switch it over to one of those IMO.
