Tore his Achilles tendon. Its about a 1 year timetable so he will likely be out the whole season. Will be interesting to see how he and other teams go about contracts. Does he opt in to his last year with the warriors and stay in a familiar environment while rehabbing? Does he get any max contract offers? If he does i expect he takes it since theres no guarantee at what level he returns at.

There have been several relatively successful NBA comebacks from ruptured Achilles, but players did have to tweak their games to adjust (I remember reading this about Kobe), and I don't think any of them were as good as before. At any rate, with him needing to be out so long, it obviously impacts Golden State's chances at a title not only this year but the next, and whether or not they sustain their relative dominance that they've had the last several seasons. There are many questions to be answered over the next year, but it's not looking good for the Warriors' future. They have had a number of struggles this season that made me question how much longer their reign would last, and the Durant injury is obviously the biggest of these.

Wow, Klay's injury ended up very serious: he tore his ACL. That's another severe injury that takes nearly a year to heal.
The Warriors will not dominate next season. They have broken down.

So now that Anthony Davis one of the biggest names for this offseason is teaming up with LeBron for the Lakers, the rest of the free agent signings or trades will start falling into place. It will be an exciting summer with that and the draft!
