Upcoming basketball box breaks? Help me choose

    Hi all,

I still love breaking lower and especially mid end boxes, as you know (about $125 or less). The question now is, what kinds of boxes do you want to see?

Most of the older school stuff is harder to find and get because of the Jordan insert craze, of course, but I did find a few potentially interesting boxes if I go older school (pre-2001). Here are the options:

    https://www.steelcitycollectibles.co...24ct-jumbo-box
    https://www.steelcitycollectibles.co...ball-hobby-box

    See anything you like there?

But if you'd rather I do newer stuff (2012-2017), here are the options:

    https://www.charmcitycards.com/2012-...ball-3887.html

    https://www.charmcitycards.com/2014-...ball-4971.html
    https://www.charmcitycards.com/2014-...ball-4194.html
    https://www.charmcitycards.com/2015-...ball-5440.html
    https://www.charmcitycards.com/2016-...ball-5917.html
    https://www.charmcitycards.com/2016-...asketball.html
    https://www.charmcitycards.com/2016-...asketball.html
    https://www.charmcitycards.com/2016-...ball-5807.html

A few of these I've broken before without too much disappointment.

But I'd really like your input as I'm not too picky about any of this stuff, and yet realize I also have an audience that might like some of these products more than others, making trades more likely.

Let me know which of these products you'd like to see breaks of best. Thanks in advance.

Kendra, I would take the 12-13 Momentum box since you get 5 autos per box with a chance to pull autos of Anthony Davis, Kawhi, Klay, Draymond, Lillard, Drummond, and Kyrie.

Also 16-17 Threads would be good. You know the Thread Wood RCs are my favorite rookie design and you get 120 total cards in box for $50.

I'd go with the Fleer Triple Crown. Also the Ultra and Topps from the 90s you have listed have the foil that could stick together and basically brick your whole box. Even if it doesn't expect some sticking together with surface damage. So I would unfortunately advise against opening those.

I Do not break much anymore. Totally Certified has been most consistent, yet product is also not like it used to be.
Good luck on anything one you choose. Keep us informed on what you decide and what you pull

I think you need to factor in pure volume.

With the older boxes you end up with so much base that just takes up space. Unless you plan to put the sets together, that's the kind of stuff that just sits and sits and sits....

Any 12/13 stuff has great hit potential - Kyrie, Kawhi, Davis, Beal, so I'd hedge towards that year for sure.

    Thanks, folks.

Looks like I'll pass on the early 1990s stuff. I'll keep in mind only Triple Crown from 15+ years older.

For the more recent stuff, I'll consider Momentum first and foremost, and then go from there based on price and availability over time. I do agree the 12/13 has a great draft class. I remember pulling a few good rookies from Timeless Treasures a couple or so years ago, but I think I'm done with that product and want to try a few others that are slightly less of a gamble.
