The minnesota vikings have come up with a great new autograph policy

The Minnesota Vikings have come up with a new autograph policy for training camp and it is long overdue.

Starting this year, fans over the age of 18 will not be able to line up in the autograph lines at training camp and the first 150 kids will receive a wristband to get autographs.

    Thank God!

It's a good younger fan policy but the columnist doesn't understand that non-children also enjoy receiving in-person autographs. Receiving that first hand from the athlete means way more than buying it online from "a authentic [sic] website". Also...

It saves you the time, you don't look like a creeper and you have the certificate of authentication vs buying from Joe Smith on EBAY.

If I want to buy an autographed basketball from former 1 overall draft pick Joe Smith (Golden State Warriors, 1995) or an autographed baseball from current Houston Astros relief pitcher Joe Smith I think going directly to the source would be best #pedantic.

Overall a good policy but the columnist Jeff Thurn denigrates adults who genuinely want a piece of memorabilia for themselves or as a gift and broadly casts anyone as "weird" and "a creeper".

The 30 to 40 years old memorabilia sellers will just get their kids or a kid to do it for them.

This!!!! While the Vikings mean to do well by their young fans, I feel this will be manipulated by the adults.

Its been 12 and younger for the Giants for a couple years now. Ever since the bleachers collapsed at Giants training camp while everyone trampled each other trying to get Beckhams auto.
