Clippers land Kawhi Leonard and Paul George; OKC lands SHAI!
The Oklahoma City Thunder are losing Paul George, but WOOHOO WE ARE GETTING SHAI GILGEOUS-ALEXANDER! He was my favorite rookie last season after Doncic! Meanwhile, the Clippers also get Kawhi Leonard. Details of these moves can be found here:

Wow! The Clippers gave up a ton plus more to get George. I don't think George is anywhere worth that much but since it will land Leonard as well I see why they did it. Thunder landed a good amount for George but just took another step back during Westbrook's prime years.

A HUGE signing for the Clippers and I agree with markw2856 that the Clippers traded a ton for Paul George. But if that puts them over the top it would be well worth it for them. Big loss for the Lakers and the Raptors and once again the West is going to be stacked like hell.

Just rumor so far but looks like Westbrook could be on the market now as well

Yeah I saw that. Not surprised as he's aging and the team is rebuilding. He and George were good friends, but they couldn't get over the hump. Now that George is gone, and they're switching things up, he probably sees it as time to move on. I'm ok with it; totally different situation from KD bailing in 2016. They were one game away from beating the Warriors that season. OKC is looking to rebuild now, so I don't think the fans will take it personally if Russ leaves. I won't. He was great for us for a full decade, and we'll always appreciate his work and commitment to the game and team in his time here. He had his hot-headed moments, but he was an amazing player, definite HOFer, and helped keep us competitive for years.

It makes sense. He is mad and the team isn't going anywhere. The West is going to be an absolute BLOODBATH next year so trading him away and getting future draft picks for him seems like the best move at this point.

Think you are right on. It all makes sense just feel bad for the OKC fans having to endure crap for the next few years. Makes sense to get future picks and also cut back on the payroll since over the tax thing already. Westbrook can be a little childish at times and wish his jumper was better, but man I love his hustle. More kids need to work like him on the court.
