Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk has a chance to do what nobody else has ever done in the NHL -- win both the Frank Selke Trophy and the Lady Byng Trophy in consecutive seasons.

Datsyuk was named a finalist Tuesday for the Selke, awarded to the NHL's best defensive forward, along with Ryan Kesler of the Canucks and Mike Richards of the Flyers. Datsyuk was named a finalist for the Lady Byng (most gentlemanly play) last week by members of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association.

Datsyuk won both awards last season. Ron Francis of the Penguins was the only other player to win the Selke and Lady Byng in the same season (1995). The NHL awards will be announced on June 18 in Las Vegas.
