HOUSTON — A second straight sweep is the goal for the Manitoba Moose, who take a three-games-to-none lead in the AHL’s Western Conference final into tonight’s Game 4 against the Houston Aeros at Toyota Center.

A victory would send the Moose to the Calder Cup final for the first time in their history. They’re also looking to become the first Winnipeg professional team in 30 years to advance to a championship final.

Manitoba has won 10 straight playoff games, including a 4-3 triumph here on Monday night.

The Aeros have done well under duress in these playoffs, having won Game 7 in both their first two series against Peoria and Milwaukee, but they haven’t faced this kind of adversity.
